Current:

Dr. Wadsworth is the founding director of Genesee Valley Psychology (GVP), a clinic providing individual and group therapy to the Rochester NY area. GVP offers treatment for Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), PTSD/Trauma, and provides comprehensive Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). Dr. Wadsworth is also the co-founder of Twin Stars Diversity Trainers, a consultation company offering diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) trainings to organizations. Dr. Wadsworth is a Harvard Medical School/McLean Hospital affiliate, serving as a Senior Advisor to the McLean Diversity Equity and Inclusion Office.

Dr. Wadsworth specializes in the research and treatment of severe anxiety disorders, including OCD. Dr. Wadsworth is committed to continuously aiming to become a more culturally humble and competent researcher and clinician.

Training:

Dr. Wadsworth earned her B.A. at Smith College, majoring in Psychology and Studio Art. Following college, Dr. Wadsworth worked in research and clinical positions at the University of Massachusetts Amherst, including starting a Compulsive Hoarding Treatment Program serving Western Massachusetts. Next, she worked as the Research Coordinator for the Harvard Aging Brain Study at Massachusetts General Hospital.

Specializing in research and treatment on Social Anxiety Disorder, Dr. Wadsworth obtained her Masters in Clinical Psychology in 2014 at the University of Massachusetts Boston. Her thesis was titled, Cognitive Processes and Moderators of Willingness in Individuals with and without Social Anxiety Disorder in Response to a Speech Performance Task. 

Extending her focus to severe transdiagnostic anxiety psychopathology, Dr. Wadsworth completed her dissertation and doctoral studies at the University of Massachusetts Boston in 2018. Her dissertation was titled, Perception of External Control as a Transdiagnostic Feature in Anxiety Disorders and the Investigation of a Brief Acceptance Intervention. 

Dr. Wadsworth completed her predoctoral internship at McLean Hospital/Harvard Medical School's Behavioral Health Partial Program, where she worked primarily with severe and heterogenous psychopathology in a partial hospital setting. Dr. Wadsworth completed her postdoctoral fellowship at McLean Hospital/Harvard Medical School's Obsessive Compulsive Disorder Institute (OCDI) and the College Mental Health Program (CMHP).
